LITTLE BUDDI IS WATCHING YOU!

Errant wives beware! August 2007 sees the launch of Buddi, the first pocket-sized tracking device in Britain. Devised by Sara Murray, a former marketing consultant, the gadget can be clipped on to children's clothing or carried in their pockets, enabling parents to monitor their movements on an online map via satellite tracking.
If the child gets into trouble, he can press a button to alert friends or relatives via a 24-hour emergency call centre. Buddi, which also comes in a version for pets, costs £299 and £20 a month to operate.
And, of course, it can always be quietly inserted into the wife's handbag.

The figures, obtained by the Liberal democrats, show that the number of women drink-drivers soared from 6,793 in 1995 to 10,765 in 2004.
